Live! at 4 on CBS KOLR 10

If you’ve had a chance to read my blog Plans for 2013, you might remember my declaration to try new things this year. Fortunately, the beauty industry has blessed me with yet another exciting and envelope pushing experience. This time IN FRONT of the camera on CBS KOLR 10!     I won’t say the reason I got into make-up was because it was a “behind the scenes” sort of gig, although it has been an appreciated perk over the years. Monday I received an email from the CBS affiliate KOLR 10 asking me to go LIVE for a quick segment about how to fix your make up mistakes. I was so excited to be back in a studio I nearly forgot I would actually be on camera, a few seconds later I remembered. However, I did make it a goal to try new things. Recently I have also been following another blog from a girl that is from my hometown who is currently pushing her limits as well and loving it, which gave me an added nudge in the right direction. After some helpful encouragement from my husband, I happily accepted.

The segment was on Thursday. The second I walked into the building it felt amazing. Being on set has always felt like a second home to me which made my job so much easier. The host, Shannon and I laughed and chatted while I was doing her make up. Then it was time to go live. Surprisingly as terrified as I was, it went more smoothly than I had anticipated.
